Chatsford for Coffee
The design provides for a unique filter process of the coffee for a controlled length of time and does not allow the coffee to 'stew'.
The Chatsford System for coffee from Duchess China comprises of Fine Bone China Infuser Mugs (Diane shape only) in a variety of patterns. Each fitted with a fine mesh strainer suiable for most grinds of coffee.
Instructions for Coffee use
To prepare proper ground coffee.
Remove the lid, and with the strainer in place, drop the desired amount of your preferred ground coffee into the strainer.
Pour in freshly boiled water which is just off the boil, and leave to infuse for a time to suit your taste.
Pick out the strainer unit with the spent coffee grounds inside, and tip over a waste bin to empty.
The coffee is now ready for milk and sugar to be added if desired.

Chatsford for Tea
The Tea system allows a very efficient infusion of the tea in the pot. Enabling the tea leaves to be removed from the pot before the tea stews.
Duchess China comprises Fine Bone China Chatsford system strainer teapots in two sizes in whiteware and also in a range of patterns. Suitable for all teas from very fine leaf teas to larger leaf specialist and herbal blends.
Instructions for Tea use
To prepare proper loose leaf tea.
Remove the lid, and with the strainer in place, drop the desired amount of your prefered loose leaf tea into the strainer.
Pour in freshly boiled water, and leave to brew.
Pick out the strainer unit with the spent tea inside, and tip over a waste bin to empty. Or in the case of the teapot, if prefered the strainer unit can be left in the pot until finished.
The tea is now ready. The pot can be poured and the mug is ready for milk and sugar to be added if desired.
